COHESIVE BANDAGE
A cohesive bandage is a type of bandage that is self-adherent, but does not adhere to the skin or hair. The bandage is made of non-woven fabric and is capable of stretching up to twice its length, thus providing stable, pain-free compression and wrapping for the patient. Depending on how much it is stretched, it is possible to provide more or less compression. The bandage is fixed without aluminum clips. Cohesive bandages are used to stop bleeding, immobilize joints, dress wounds, protect intravenous lines, and hold surgical dressings in place.
